AC Ingenieros is promoting a new project for the Basque Culinary Center focused on training students in beverage production in Vitoria and Laguardia

Jul 10, 2026

AC Ingenieros has been appointed by the Basque Culinary Center, within the framework of the EDA Drinks & Wine Campus Foundation, to deliver the detailed engineering design for the interior fit-out of two buildings that will accommodate a beverage pilot plant. This project forms part of the institution’s strategic initiative to promote education, innovation, and advanced training in the beverage sector, further strengthening its position as an international benchmark in this emerging industry.

The project comprises the design and implementation of building services and process support infrastructure across two separate facilities in the Basque Country. The facility located in Laguardia will be dedicated to the production of white wine, red wine, and cider, leveraging the region’s long-standing viticultural heritage and winemaking tradition. The second facility, located in Vitoria-Gasteiz, will accommodate brewing, distillation, and other fermentation processes, creating a multidisciplinary environment focused on specialized technical training.

Through this project, AC Ingenieros will contribute to the development of state-of-the-art technical infrastructure tailored to the specific operational and process requirements of each beverage production line, establishing a unique innovation ecosystem. The project also reinforces the integration of engineering and gastronomy, fostering the development of innovative solutions for the food and beverage industry while enhancing the national and international profile of the Basque Culinary Center and the EDA Drinks & Wine Campus Foundation.
