AC Ingenieros has been awarded the contract for drafting the Basic and Execution Project for the construction of the new Slaughterhouse of Buitrago del Lozoya (Madrid), a supramunicipal initiative included in the 2022–2026 Regional Investment Program of the Community of Madrid. The project is promoted by the Community of Madrid through PLANIFICA MADRID, PROYECTOS Y OBRAS, M.P. S.A., consolidating an institutional project that reflects confidence in the technical capability and professional reliability of AC Ingenieros within the agri-industrial sector.
The planned facility will feature a modern, efficient, and highly functional design, integrating the beef slaughtering, cutting, and packaging processes under criteria of sustainability, efficiency, and operational optimization. AC Ingenieros will implement advanced solutions in process engineering, industrial architecture, IFS-based layouts, energy efficiency, and traceability, ensuring compliance with the most demanding regulations regarding animal welfare and food safety. This approach will provide the region and its livestock farmers with a strategic infrastructure aligned with the real needs of the livestock sector in Madrid, particularly in the Sierra Norte.
With an estimated investment of 8 million euros, this slaughterhouse will become an essential infrastructure to enhance the competitiveness of local livestock farms and strengthen the beef value chain in the Community of Madrid.
The awarding of this project reaffirms AC Ingenieros’ commitment to developing agri-industrial infrastructures with high territorial impact, contributing to sustainable growth, technological innovation, and the advancement of Madrid’s meat industry in 2025.
