AC Ingenieros was awarded the tender for the Preparation of the Basic and Detailed Design Project for the construction of the new Buitrago del Lozoya Municipal Slaughterhouse, a supra-municipal infrastructure project included in the Regional Investment Program of the Community of Madrid 2022–2026. The project is promoted by the Community of Madrid through Planifica Madrid, Proyectos y Obras, M.P., S.A., reinforcing an institutional initiative that reflects confidence in the technical capabilities and professional expertise of AC Ingenieros within the agro-industrial sector.

The planned facility will feature a modern, efficient, and highly functional design, integrating the cattle slaughtering, cutting/deboning, and packaging processes under sustainability, efficiency, and operational optimization criteria. AC Ingenieros will implement advanced solutions in process engineering, industrial architecture, IFS-compliant plant layouts, energy efficiency, and full product traceability, ensuring compliance with the most stringent regulations on animal welfare and food safety. This approach will provide the region and its livestock farmers with a strategic infrastructure aligned with the operational needs of the livestock sector in the Community of Madrid, particularly in the Sierra Norte area.

With an estimated investment of €8 million, the slaughterhouse will become a key infrastructure for improving the competitiveness of local cattle farms and strengthening the beef value chain in the Community of Madrid.

The award of this project reaffirms AC Ingenieros’ commitment to the development of high-impact agro-industrial infrastructure, contributing to sustainable growth, technological innovation, and the advancement of the meat processing industry in the Madrid region by 2025.
